Rooted in the rich maritime traditions of the 1800s, Shaw Family Seafood Company stands as Florida’s first family-owned and operated crab meat plant. Our legacy is built on generations of dedicated fishermen, oystermen, and crab suppliers.

In 1934, our family founded the first crab meat plant in Apalachicola, Florida. Shortly thereafter, we moved our operations to Jacksonville, where Howard and Flossie opened their plant on the south side of the St. Johns River, and John and Pheenix established theirs on the north side of the Trout River. Today, our company proudly operates from the historic Trout River plant.

Over the years, Shaw Family Seafood Company has evolved into a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant and co-packing facility for seafood and meat proteins. Our unwavering commitment to quality, consistency, and innovation remains at the heart of everything we do.
